Xavier has been married to Alexandra for 22 years, both born in Quito, Ecuador. They have three children: Valerie, Sofia and Andres. Xavier became a Christ- follower in 1997 at the El Batan Alliance Church in Quito, Ecuador, where he and Alex committed their lives to serve full-time as a church planters. Xavier earned a Bible Studies Certificate at the Alliance Biblical Seminary in Quito. Xavier and his family came to the U.S. in 2006 to complete his studies at Rio Grande Bible College, Edinburg, TX, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. In 2008 he started the El Camino Spanish-speaking church in Mechanicsburg, PA, in partnership with Immanuel Alliance Church. In 2014 he began the Hispanic Ministry in Elizabethtown, PA, in partnership with Elizabethtown Alliance Church. In 2015 he started the El Camino Family Encounter Spanish-speaking ministry in Chambersburg, PA, in partnership with Chambersburg Alliance Church, where he is serving currently. In 2016 Xavier and Pastor Marcelo Castro started a Spanish-speaking ministry in Scranton, PA, in partnership with Steamtown Church. Xavier also serves a part-time role at the District Office of Eastern PA as a Spanish-speaking church planting mobilizer seeking new places, church planters and Alliance partners to start new Hispanic churches. Prior to starting his vocational ministry, he finished Business Administration studies and owned a family business in the hospitality and travel industry. Xavier loves to play and watch soccer with his children, hiking, jogging, reading and watching the news about what is happening worldwide. The Godoy’s favorite verse is Psalm 138:8.
